"I am giving one star because I have to give at least one star to leave a review, State Farm is the absolute worst insurance agency that will count your roadside assistance claims against your insurance policy even for something like jumpstarting your car, so after 2 years of being with SF they raised my insurance by a crazy amount (like $400). Naturally, I cancelled my policy including my homeowners insurance. I called this office and sent an email to verify my insurance policy was canceled and I was told my policy was canceled. Fourteen days later my mortgage company mistakenly sent a check for my homeowner's policy to SF/this office and it was cashed! Fourteen days after my policy was supposedly canceled. That was two months ago and I still have not received a refund for the homeowner's insurance payment that was cashed by SF even though I called a month ago and was told by this office it was on the way. I called again this week to see where the refund check was since it sure wasn't mailed to me, and it was mailed to an incorrect address the office had on file (from two years ago), despite sending me communications when I was a policyholder to the correct address, despite insuring cars and a home at the correct address, my refund check was somehow sent to an incorrect address. Still, no word when I am going to receive my refund check before my current homeowners policy is canceled unless I come out of pocket to pay it. Meanwhile, SF cashed a check for a policy that was canceled and will not return the funds. STAY AWAY FROM SF AND THIS OFFICE. *Update* It has been a month since my initial review and I still have not been refunded for the money that was cashed by SF for a canceled policy. I filed a claim with the Texas Department of Insurance which finally got the attention of this SF office. Cody Guyer the broker and owner called me to tell me that "he received my complaint and that is not going to make me get my refund faster". At this point, it has been approximately three months since all of this began. *Final Update* Due to intervention by the Better Business Bureau and Texas Department of Insurance after nearly three months I have received my refund from State Farm for my canceled insurance premium that was cashed. I do believe were it not for one or both agencies I would not have been refunded the money that was due to me. Please beware."
